I absolutely adore shooting weddings. There’s so much emotion and everyone is running around with high energy. I love the details, the colors, the special touches. When I’m shooting a wedding, I tend to be pretty anxious all night waiting for the next big moment. So when we were invited as guests to our friends’ wedding, it was exciting to know that I would get the opportunity to attend a wedding as a guest for once and not as photographer. I would get to eat the food…warm! I could dance and relax and enjoy their first moments as husband and wife!
However…
I can’t ever just completely be a “guest”. Heavens no! So when Jeff and Diana so adamantly let me know that they’d love for me to shoot some, I, of course, didn’t want to impose on their photographer but when their photographer motioned for me to take my turn, I just couldn’t help myself. I had to snap a few! While I only shot spurts of the day, I am in love with the images I walked away with. Disclaimer: It may be because my husband was in some of them. Or it may be Jeff is a State Trooper and that was a new experience for me. But I think it’s because they were radiating. I could feel how happy they were! I’m positive I wasn’t the only person all choked up as Diana walked down the isle with her father.
I know, without a doubt, that Jeff and Diana have many many years of happiness and love ahead of them. And babies. Because that’s what happens when you park your getaway car in the “Expectant Mothers Parking” zone! And…I may or may not have wrote them a note wishing for them a few!!
Meet Jeff and Diana….
